My first pottery creation was a little elephant that I made in art lessons at the age of 10. Ever since then I was hooked.
My work is inspired by nature and I enjoy showing the contrast between straight lines and organic forms, smooth areas and textured surfaces.
I work in white Earthenware clay and enjoy throwing on the potter's wheel. To decorate and finish my creations I use bright glazes and transparent glaze.
I've always been drawn to classic shapes of vases and pots and many of my vessels are thrown and finished to a high standard.

1994 - Practiced mould making at a local ceramic factory in my free time.
1993 - I had a few months in Berlin after finishing school. My main aim was to learn more about clay and meet artists who have a passion for clay. I worked with a ceramicist called Evelyn Klam, observing how she hand builds and decorates her vessels. I joined a ceramics class at the Volk Hoch Schule in Berlin for 6 months.
